Big bag

I have finished my new black-orange bag. I needed a big bag, because I always take a lot of necessary thing with, for example books, language excercise books etc. 🙂
It is called halloween-bag by my daughter, Kinga, because of its colors. 🙂

I made a tutorial with pictures how to make it, but it is hungarian. Even so you can have a look at it here, on my hungarian patchwork blog.

Pendrive holder

After I saw a lot of scissor-holder (like this and this and this) took a fancy to make one for my pendrive. Of course it is crocheted with a circle and two balls and with a fringe on the end of it.

Quilted Wallet

Last year I’ve sewn a wallet for myself but it has weared out so I deceided to make an other instead of it. I found a perfect tutorial how to sew a wallet on the blog of Thatdarnkat. I’ve sewn it from my new fabrics I ordered last month from the internet, from a hungarian webshop. Aaaaand, this is my new wallet: 🙂

Crocheted Necklaces

When I searched for crocheted flower patterns, I saw a few crocheted jewels, too. I like them very much and I decided to make some. So I have crocheted two necklaces with flowers and beads for Kinga and for myself. The laces between flowers are crocheted from chain. The purple one is for Kinga, the yellow is for me.

Ballet bun cover

9758.jpg

My elder daughter, Kinga is a ballet-girl (you can see pictures from her ballet-performance last year here and here on my hungarian blog, when she impersonated the role of the Rainbow). As the ballerinas have to wear their hair in ballet bun, I have crocheted a ballet bun cover for her. She loves it very much so she wear it not only on the ballet lessons but in the school, too 😀 She said, she would like to have an other cover too, a peach-blow one 🙂

Et voilá: 😉

Crocheted bookmarks

I’ve crocheted a few bookmarks these days. We love reading, the children too, I read more book simultaneously so we need a lot of bookmarks. I hate use paperpieces for bookmark, I love the fair and nice bookmarks 🙂 So my husband and the girls chose yarn for their bookmarks. The orange one is for Kinga, the bourdon with heart is for Lilla, the green is for dad, and I chose the pink. The other are present for my cousins.

“Kokárda” – Cockade

15th March is the national holiday in Hungary. We celebrate the revolution of 1848 when the youth – poets, writers, students etc – fought for the freedom. They wore “kokárda” (cockade) on their coat. This is a pin made from ribbon colored after our national flag (red-white-green). The red colour is for power, the white is for faith, the green is for hope. Therefore we wear “kokárda” every year on 15 th March.

I saw a cross sitch “kokárda” on Ancsa’s blog. It hits my fancy very much. I decided I will stitch it for my daughters. Then it came in my mind that can try crochet “kokárda” after my crocheted flower with national color yarns. I have crocheted ribbon, too.

So, this is our crocheted “kokárda”:

Barbie Dress

p3131350.jpg

I found some crocheted Barbie derss and as my daughters – mostly my younger, Lilla – have Barbie-fever, I decided to crochet one for both. They choosed patterns for their dolls, then we selected by a draw who will be the first. Kinga was the fortunate. The dress of her Barbie got ready. I started to crochet one for Lilla’s Barbie, too. She is looking forward it. 🙂

Application

I would like to learn how to make wonderful application like these.

Therefore I sewed this on the weekend, as practice:

I decorated the leaves and  the petals  with  free machine quilting.  My sewing machine is very simple so I would like to have a machine like this, to make wonderful works.

It will be a vanity case.  The machine quilting on both side is done.

I read it on Connie’s blog, and I find it true:

“This is the beginning of a new day. You have been given this day to use as you will. You can waste it or use it for good. What you do today is important because you are exchanging a day of your life for it. When tomorrow comes, this day will be gone forever; in its place is something that you have left behind…let it be something good.”

Pin cushion

p1061099_2.jpg
I have made this pin cushion at the last weekend. I planed to prepare it for a long while but I did not know how can sew it. One of my patchwork-friends in the patchwork club teach me to sew it. It’s very easy and quickly to make it. I sewed it to paper peaces and sewed it together. I love it! 🙂
